About Hudson Counseling Services
When you choose a counseling practice or an individual counselor, you want to know as much about them as possible so you can determine if they are a good fit for your needs.
Hudson Counseling Services was founded in 1989 and has been well established in the Hudson community for almost 30 years. Dr. Peter Nasseff started the practice and worked with his wife to build and nurture it; he served as the sole practitioner and she managed the administrative and bookkeeping duties.
As part of his effort to build and strengthen Hudson Counseling Services, Dr. Nasseff worked diligently to create relationships with Hudson Hospital, Hudson Physicians, Baldwin Area Medical Center, Osceola Medical Center and other community associations. These bonds mean that our patients have numerous outside resources that we can draw on if your individual situation warrants more medical assistance.
Other practitioners became part of Hudson Counseling Services as we grew. In 2001, Mary Jacks joined the practice. After many years of forging relationships with patients, Mary Jacks purchased the practice in January 2015. Her goal was simple: To continue helping others in the same vein as Dr. Nasseff had for so many years. Dr. Nasseff retired in Sept. 2017.
In March 2022, a new chapter began at Hudson Counseling Services. Jordan Johnson purchased the practice from Mary Jacks and joined the group as a practicing therapist. Jordan comes from a background of both providing therapy in both a home-based and clinic-based capacity, with additional experience being a licensure supervisor in both MN and WI as well as experience leading a team of developing therapists in a former job. This change allows Mary to focus on her work as a therapist and Jordan the opportunity to lead others in a new way and create new connections with clients and the Hudson community.
