Angela Bishop earned her Master of Arts degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Liberty University in 2017. She is a certified PREPARE/ENRICH facilitator, an assessment designed to prepare couples for marriage and enrich relationships. Angela is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a highly effective method of treating trauma and other painful life experiences. Additionally, Angela is Level 1 trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS), a transformational and empowering parts model which honors each person’s intuitive wisdom, and seeks to achieve internal harmony and balance.
Angela is passionate about working with adolescents 13 and up, individuals, and couples experiencing a range of concerns. She blends a variety of therapeutic models including: cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), parts work (IFS), EMDR, mindfulness, and more to create a specialized approach for each person. Angela believes that effective therapy depends greatly on the therapeutic relationship and strives to create an atmosphere of warmth, genuineness, and respect. Angela would consider it an honor to be entrusted with your story and walk alongside you on your journey toward healing.
