AMY SWENSON, BS, MFT CLINICAL TRAINEE
[Accepting New Clients]

I believe therapy is a shared journey where you can slow down, feel heard, and better understand yourself and your relationships. Through genuine connection, I hope to foster a warm and welcoming environment where clients feel comfortable bringing their whole selves, whatever that looks like that day. I enjoy walking alongside clients as they navigate challenges, recognize their strengths, and work toward meaningful and lasting change. It’s an honor to be invited into both the big and little moments of clients' lives.

Grounded in my Marriage and Family Therapy training, I approach therapy through a systemic and relational lens. Not only do I look at the individual, but also their experiences, environment, and relationships that have shaped them. As I work with clients, my hope is to help them identify stories they might be telling themselves that no longer ring true, recognize unhelpful patterns, and live with integrity according to their own values.

I enjoy working with individuals, couples, and families. I have a particular interest in working with couples stuck in unhelpful patterns, young adults, and military families. I’m interested in helping clients navigate life transitions, difficult relationships, and pursue personal growth and fulfillment. I welcome the opportunity to thoughtfully incorporate Christian faith into the therapeutic process for clients who wish to do so. .

I am under the supervision of Diane Garves, MA, LPC
